About Louis
Louis H. Thomas III is a trial lawyer who currently works at the law firm of Wright & Gray. He specializes in civil litigation in the areas or personal injury, auto injury, wrongful death, insurance, slip and fall, and trucking accidents.
Throughout his practice of law, he has received multiple favorable trial verdicts, and he also has extensive motion practice experience. Louis consistently delivers excellent results and obtains favorable settlements for his clients. He is licensed to practice law in all state courts of Louisiana, as well as the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.
Before joining Wright & Gray, Louis garnered a great deal of experience while working at a prominent local firm which specialized in both personal injury and auto insurance defense where he worked on a variety of complex cases. Louis also gained a great deal of civil defense insight working as in-house counsel for a major automobile insurance company, which has greatly assisted him in his personal injury practice. Prior to that, he developed his litigation skills as a litigation associate at a private defense firm where he worked on various types of civil defense cases including automobile accidents, premises liability, and employer liability. Prior to the practice of law, Louis worked in industries related to financial services, construction, and government contracting. He has also worked within local Parish government.
Louis is from from Marrero, Louisiana, and graduated from Archbishop Shaw High School in 2003. He then went on to attend Tulane University, where he obtained a B.S.M. in Finance from Tulane University’s A.B. Freeman School of Business. While at Tulane, Louis was also the recipient of the Tulane Athletics Scholarship as a football player. He then went on to graduate from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where he received a Certificate in Law, Technology & Entrepreneurship. While attending Loyola Law, Louis served as the president of the Real Estate Law Society and worked as a student practitioner in criminal defense in the Stuart H. Smith Law Clinic and Center for Social Justice.
Louis is a member of the Tulane Letterwinners’ Association, the Tulane Athletics Fan Advisory Committee, and Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
